Indeed, this site is based on my HardwareDetection technology, that enables you to automatically gather the informations about your hardware and software configuration. This websites works in partnership with touslesdrivers.com. With no effort, you can now identify and install the latest drivers corresponding to your configuration.
Who is this website made for?
First of all, it is meant to help any user (even newbies) diagnosing problems on his PC. Indeed, publishing the link to the PDF file describing his configuration on a computer-help forum will allow him to easily and safely share important informations in order to solve his problem. The second objective of this web site is updating drivers for a Windows PC. Within a few clicks, the user will obtain all the lastest drivers matching his configuration. More than the end-user, network administrators, technical helpdesks and call-centers will find it really usefull and use all its capacities.
How does HardwareDetection V2 works?
This technology is built around a micro core. This micro core centralises information modules that creates a XML report describing the software and hardware configuration of a PC. I especially developed drivers able to access the heart of the machine in order to directly interrogate its hardware components. My technology uses certified ActiveX and Mozilla plugin which advantage is to make it accessbible from a web site. In the menu services, you will find the first innovative applications of this technology.
Privacy respect
Desiring to protect one's privacy and data confidentiality, I created a 4-level confidentiality system that filters the XML marks and gives control to the user. The default level can be modified in the preferences. Using the maximum level will prevent ones from plublishing his configuration and generating a corresponding PDF file. I created this graduated protection system in order not to limit the amont of data given to the user and thus reduce the interest for this technology.
In non-connected mode, each XML configuration is stored on the server for 1 day (for pratical reasons). Still, you are given the possibility to manually delete it.
